Engineering Manager, Electronics

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a team of electrical engineers to develop and test reactor control systems
• Own the electronic architecture for terrestrial and future space reactors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for electronic designs, reliability, and accuracy
• Oversee acceptance and qualification testing of in-house PCB designs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience managing electrical engineers
• 5+ years of experience designing mixed signals, analog, or RF hardware

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, aerospace, or nuclear engineering
• Experience with radiation-hardened circuit design
• Experience with control system design for nuclear applications or nuclear instrumentation
