Engineering Manager - Electrical and Materials Laboratory

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 5 experts specializing in electrical insulation, metallic and non-metallic materials, welding, and anti-corrosion protection.
• Define the service roadmap, including priorities, budget, and resource allocation in alignment with company strategy.
• Support the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of technologies for high-power electric motors.
• Provide technical support across the entire product lifecycle, from pre-sales and design to manufacturing and field operations.
• Oversee technical expertise provided to clients and make critical technical decisions regarding performance, risk, quality, and cost.
• Drive innovation and industrialization programs, including the introduction of new products and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, technical specifications, and safety protocols during electrical testing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and quality departments to meet global performance goals.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electrical engineering, materials science, or an equivalent field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in the field of electric motors, ideally focusing on high-power applications.
• Proven experience in technical leadership or managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in both French and English (written and oral).
• Strong ability to analyze complex technical problems and make decisions in a demanding industrial environment.
• Deep understanding of standards and requirements applicable to rotating electrical machines.
