Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cross-functional team of software engineers
• Own technical delivery, including scoping, sprint planning, and risk management
• Set and uphold engineering standards for code quality, architecture, and security
• Partner with Product Managers to translate requirements into engineering tasks
• Drive system design decisions and technical architecture for the Super App platform
• Build and scale the engineering team through hiring, onboarding, and coaching
• Establish and monitor engineering KPIs such as deployment frequency and system uptime
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure

Requirements

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience in engineering management
• Proven track record of delivering consumer-facing mobile or web applications at scale
• Strong technical background in Node.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with modern DevOps practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams at a startup or scale-up in the MENA region
• Background in fintech, super apps, or multi-product platform development
• Familiarity with security practices related to payment processing and PII handling
