Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous delivery within a team of experts in storage technology, distributed systems and Rust
• Manage the development and rollout of storage services hosting millions of customer databases
• Partner with peer engineering teams to co-evolve Lakebase services with global infrastructure
• Lead operational excellence in 24/7 system operations
• Hire and develop engineering talent and leaders
• Ensure high technical standards through architecture reviews and testing
• Work with leadership to build long-term roadmaps

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping storage systems focused on correctness and performance
• BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of engineers in a related system
• Experience with infrastructure technologies such as Spinnaker, Jenkins, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Bazel
• Ability to attract, hire, and coach top-tier engineering talent
• Ability to work on cross-functional projects and understand customer personas
