Engineering Manager (Data Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Own the technical roadmap and long-term planning for data engineering workstreams to align with product goals.
• Oversee the architecture and scaling of data pipelines using technologies like Spring Boot, ClickHouse, and OpenSearch.
• Drive the transition toward automated, longitudinal data processing to replace manual processes.
• Partner with Product Management and Data Science to define system requirements for automated data processing.
• Implement rigorous performance standards, including cloud cost optimization and SEV-1 reduction targets.
• Manage resource bandwidth and prioritize quarterly planning to ensure consistent project delivery.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as ClickHouse, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Spark, or Logstash.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, S3, and EC2.
• Strong SQL skills and experience validating large-volume, high-variability datasets.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams within an Agile environment.
• Experience with ETL job monitoring, optimization, and scaling high-volume data pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in digital measurement, panel management, or attribution ecosystems.
• Knowledge of Connected TV (CTV) platforms and streaming data collection.
• Familiarity with privacy-compliant, software-first measurement solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
