Engineering Manager, Core Services

Responsibilities

• Own critical shared services including authentication, webhooks, and backend systems powering agent workflows
• Design and implement scalable auth architecture (OAuth, JWTs, RBAC)
• Build and operate high-throughput webhook infrastructure with proper retry semantics and observability
• Harden SCM integrations by building resilient abstractions over source control providers
• Drive end-to-end agent reliability by partnering with client and inference teams
• Hire, mentor, and grow a high-impact team of backend and services engineers

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams building critical backend services (auth, API gateways, or webhooks)
• Proven experience with distributed systems and complex multi-step systems
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ownership of the full production service lifecycle
• Deep interest in clean abstractions and well-defined service contracts
• Experience with event-driven architectures or developer-facing platform services is a plus
