Engineering Manager, Compensation Planning

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team building core planning and recommendation workflows
• Manage the team while staying close to the code through design reviews and implementation details
• Drive the technical roadmap to support large-scale companies with 150,000+ employees
• Partner with Product and Design to translate compensation requirements into technical specifications
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of planning calculations
• Align with other product and platform teams to reuse components and shared data models
• Coach and mentor team members through regular, constructive feedback

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience
• 2+ years of management experience on high-performing teams
• Ability to dive into technical details and challenge designs
• Experience leading and mentoring teams through large technical projects
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate ambiguity with high agency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with B2B SaaS
• Experience with financial systems where calculation correctness and auditability are critical
