Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct and own the delivery of several products, ensuring consistent delivery and technical excellence.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding processes to hire and manage top-tier engineering talent.
• Manage team leads and senior engineers through regular one-to-one sessions, feedback cycles, and development plans.
• Lead or co-lead agile processes, including Scrum or Kanban ceremonies.
• Drive platform and product development, focusing on architecture and process improvements rather than daily coding.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt, recurring issues, and architectural gaps.
• Manage team resources and workloads to ensure sustainable delivery.
• Define and enforce engineering standards and guidelines across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional backend development experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineers, team leads, or senior technical profiles.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-based development.
• Extensive experience building and maintaining high-load, distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with microservices and infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, message brokers, and secure development practices.
