Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-skilled team of backend, frontend, and firmware engineers
• Set clear team and individual objectives and provide ongoing performance feedback
• Build and empower a team to deliver creative and practical solutions to complex technical problems
• Collaborate with other Engineering leads to drive continuous organizational improvements
• Provide technical guidance ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards like SOLID and high test coverage
• Align engineering efforts with business goals in collaboration with Product Managers
• Focus on professional and personal growth of team members, including performance and compensation reviews

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role
• First-hand experience as a software engineer
• Experience building teams and hiring new members
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Expertise in industry standards including SOLID, TDD, design patterns, and refactoring
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior management and product teams
• Experience leading teams working on large-scale products

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in products combining both hardware and software
• Experience growing scale-ups from early stages to 100+ people
• Experience in B2B enterprise products
