Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams of software engineers
• Act as the link between product and engineering to translate requirements into delivery
• Ensure teams are set up for high performance and follow clear product plans
• Align engineering initiatives with company goals and strategic direction
• Support individual engineers' growth and professional development
• Define and promote team ways of working, hiring, and training strategies
• Drive teams to gather feedback from stakeholders and take necessary actions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or similar experience
• 7+ years of hands-on software development/engineering experience
• 2+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary Agile development teams
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and performance monitoring
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git
• Excellent English speaking, writing, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a product company
• Experience in banking, payments, or SaaS industries
• Experience hiring engineers and defining onboarding/training strategies
