Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional software engineering teams to ensure high performance and continuous growth.
• Act as the essential link between product and engineering, translating requirements and ensuring teams deliver on promises.
• Align engineering initiatives with company goals and help engineers understand their impact on the bigger picture.
• Define and promote team ways of working, hiring strategies, and training programs.
• Drive teams to seek and act upon feedback from stakeholders across the organization.
• Support individual engineer growth and help the organization become more productive and innovative.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a similar field.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development or engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in people management responsibilities.
• 2+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary Agile development teams (ideally managing multiple teams of 6-8 engineers).
• Strong understanding of technical practices including CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and performance monitoring.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Excellent English communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a product-led company.
• Background in banking, payments, or SaaS industries.
• Proven experience in hiring engineers and defining onboarding or training strategies.
• Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
