Engineering Manager - Axion

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a cross-functional engineering group including software, simulation, integration, and UI/UX engineers
• Define and own the technical roadmap for Axion modules, translating product vision into actionable deliverables
• Drive software engineering best practices, including architecture design, code reviews, CI/CD, and test automation
• Manage project execution by planning sprints, monitoring progress, and ensuring milestones are met on time and with high quality
• Collaborate with product management, UX/design, and hardware teams to ensure field readiness and customer value
• Recruit top talent and foster a culture of ownership, iteration, and innovation within the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of software engineering experience with increasing responsibility
• 1-2 years of leadership experience (e.g., team lead or manager) delivering complex systems
• Experience with the architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale, high-performance software systems
• US citizenship and eligibility for a US Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in autonomy, robotics, simulation, or unmanned systems (air/land/sea)
• Familiarity with real-time systems, sensor fusion, and hardware/software integration (HIL/SIL)
• Experience leading the design of modular, scalable software systems with high performance constraints
• Knowledge of multi-domain systems and heterogeneous fleets/platforms
