Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers
• Drive execution on complex, high-priority projects
• Write and review code, weigh in on architecture, and debug complex issues
• Partner with technical leaders to align team direction with product goals
• Raise the bar on engineering practices regarding quality, reliability, and correctness
• Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, Java, Go, or similar
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams (recruiting, mentoring, growing talent)
• Deep experience with distributed systems, databases, and large-scale architectures
• Strong technical judgment and architectural decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills to align engineers, PMs, and executives
• Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous, early-stage startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test infrastructure or developer tooling
