Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the entire employee lifecycle for a significant portion of the engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
• Teach best practices in engineering architecture, project leadership, and organizational communication
• Improve EPD (Engineering, Product, Design) leadership layer, project management hygiene, and cross-functional execution
• Collaborate with Product and Design leadership to influence the roadmap and balance technical debt with feature delivery
• Champion a culture of engineering excellence and contribute to long-term technical and organizational strategy

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of engineering management experience
• 3–5 years as a high-performing individual contributor
• Deep understanding of software architecture and technical trade-offs
• Demonstrated track record of hiring and coaching talent
• Strong product sense and interest in building sustainable software for independent businesses
• AI-native mindset regarding the evolving landscape of software engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture or building financial/fintech products
• Experience with TypeScript, React, React Native, Next.js, or GCP
