Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team to foster collaboration and innovation
• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of highly transactional and complex systems
• Drive adoption of best practices in microservices, NoSQL, and communication protocols like REST and RPC
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and prioritize tasks
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance through thorough analysis and optimization
• Oversee production and cloud architecture using AWS services
• Conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth of team members
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new talent

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership experience as a tech lead or manager
• Proficiency in system design and distributed systems
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java, Linux, Apache, MySQL, Redis, NodeJS, RDBMS, JavaScript, and MongoDB
• Strong familiarity with microservices architecture and NoSQL databases
• Exposure to functional or event-driven programming paradigms
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
