Engineering Manager

About the Company

Al Jomaih Energy and Water Co. Ltd. (AEW) is partnering with Sembcorp Utilities Pte. Ltd. and TAQA on the Taweelah C Project, a landmark 2.6 GW greenfield combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant development in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the design review process with the OE to approve basic and detailed engineering designs
• Develop and monitor key engineering deliverables including design calculations and drawings
• Lead weekly engineering meetings with EPC and OE to resolve design issues
• Oversee EPC design team to ensure safety, quality, performance, and reliability
• Ensure engineering designs comply with international codes, standards, and local authority requirements
• Support design changes during installation, testing, and commissioning
• Participate in HAZOP, QRA, and ESIA studies
• Identify and mitigate engineering risks, including interface and constructability issues
• Provide change management and technical support for claims and dispute resolutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in thermal process or mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and project management within the CCGT energy sector
• Proficiency in energy resource simulation and optimization tools
• Understanding of International Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, and IEEE
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project
• Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills
