Engineering Lead/Manager, KYC

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation tools and systems to improve internal operational efficiency and customer onboarding.
• Develop and implement AI and data-driven solutions to predict user risks and prevent fraudulent or malicious activities.
• Collaborate with product managers, operations, and compliance stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews to maintain high-quality engineering standards.
• Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Serve as a technical role model and mentor for junior team members to support their professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong software engineering skills with experience in backend or frontend development using Kotlin, Java, React, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building scalable, robust automation or workflow systems.
• Proven ability to understand complex business processes and propose effective technical solutions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience leading or mentoring engineers as a team or project lead.
• Experience applying AI or machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems in automation or risk detection.
• Familiarity with cloud environments and automation tools (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Previous experience in fintech, payments, or a fast-paced startup environment.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk control, or onboarding business domains.
