Responsibilities

• Partner with CTO and CEO to define engineering strategy, architecture direction, and execution plans
• Lead, hire, and develop an exceptional engineering team while creating scalable processes and culture
• Own delivery of the engineering roadmap, ensuring high-quality, timely project shipping
• Set and uphold engineering best practices regarding code quality, testing, reliability, security, and incident response
• Build strong cross-functional operating rhythms to ensure excellent execution and user experience
• Establish metrics for engineering effectiveness, including planning, estimation, and technical debt management
• Drive continuous improvement of platform performance, scalability, and maintainability

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Meaningful experience leading teams in an engineering leadership capacity
• Proven ability to build and scale engineering teams in fast-moving environments
• Strong technical foundation and architectural judgment with hands-on production experience
• Experience translating product goals into clear technical plans
• High standards for reliability, security, and developer velocity
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead through ambiguity
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience with Go, GRPC, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, AWS, or Terraform
• Experience building AI-enabled product features
