About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute assigned tasks and projects within the program rotations
- Conduct practical laboratory work in sensor development, analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, or related disciplines
- Plan, perform, document, and evaluate experiments using a structured scientific approach
- Analyze experimental data, identify trends, interpret results, and derive technical conclusions
- Support the development, characterization, and optimization of sensor concepts, analytical methods, materials, or measurement principles
- Contribute new analytical approaches, methods, or technical improvements to your area of responsibility
- Complete all required program training and participate in Xylem Watermark community activities
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Material Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field
- Passion for technology and a strong commitment to a technology-oriented career in R&D
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken)
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and structured way of working
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, co-op, or research experience in a Research & Development (R&D) environment
