Responsibilities
- Balance priorities and find the right equilibrium between structure and speed
- Determine when to apply short-term fixes versus durable, long-term solutions
- Manage and balance unique engineer personalities
- Support team speed, innovation, and team bonding
- Protect engineers by insulating them from excessive organizational requests
- Actively contribute to and shape company culture
Requirements
- Technical depth to understand the trade-offs of building a scalable platform
- Proven ability to gain technical trust from engineering peers
- Strong understanding of team strengths and resource deployment
- Ability to translate organizational noise into useful signal for engineers
- Experience managing the transition from 0-1 build to scaling (1-n)
