Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach engineers, owning hiring, mentoring, and performance to grow technical capability.
• Translate product strategy into technical roadmaps that drive key performance indicators.
• Guide architecture and technical design decisions to ensure systems scale globally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support bank integrations and expand the payment network.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and the adoption of best practices.
• Maintain a deep understanding of team systems to remain hands-on when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams and growing senior individual contributors.
• Strong technical leadership and system design expertise, specifically with scalable, distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of event-based architectures and microservices.
• Experience with the JVM platform, including Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
• A product-oriented mindset focused on customer impact and technical implementation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders.
