Engineering Lead, Regulatory Reporting

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for regulatory reporting automation across all licensed entities and jurisdictions
• Lead architecture decisions across data pipelines, submission tooling, and AI-assisted compliance workflows
• Manage and grow a team of 4–8 engineers, providing technical mentorship and setting engineering standards
• Own the delivery of regulatory reporting milestones, ensuring reports are accurate, on time, and auditable
• Act as the primary engineering point of contact for Compliance, Legal, and Finance stakeholders
• Drive adoption of AI/LLM tooling to automate repetitive review, gap analysis, and interpretation tasks
• Define and uphold data quality, testing, and reconciliation standards across all reporting models

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a lead or staff engineer role
• Strong backend engineering foundation in Python, Kotlin, or Java
• Proficiency with SQL at scale
• Proven track record leading the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder technical programmes
• Ability to translate ambiguous regulatory or compliance requirements into clear engineering designs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, regulatory technology, or compliance automation
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Databricks, Spark, or BigQuery
• Familiarity with LLM/agent frameworks (RAG, tool-use, evaluation pipelines)
• Experience operating in a multi-jurisdiction, multi-entity environment
• Track record building robust reconciliation and data quality frameworks for financial reporting
