Engineering Lead - Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Own and execute the engineering roadmap for the Client & Colleague Experience (CCX) platform, aligning frontend and backend services with business objectives.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture design, framework development, and code reviews.
• Design and evolve organization-wide UI frameworks and shared components to enable rapid delivery and consistency across platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, and Architects to translate complex business requirements into scalable digital experiences.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements, security standards, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Oversee delivery outcomes regarding quality, timeline, cost, and risk, acting as a senior escalation point for production issues.

Requirements

• Proven engineering leadership experience within complex, regulated environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Angular, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong experience designing and building Java-based APIs and microservices, including backend-for-frontend patterns.
• Expertise in API design, performance optimization, security, and integration patterns.
• Experience working within Agile delivery models and managing multi-team organizational structures.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business audiences.
• Understanding of operational resilience, vulnerability management, and mobile-first design principles.
