Engineering Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Elaborate maintenance programs for laboratory equipment
• Maintain complete material warehouses for testing
• Submit material requisitions to the Department Director
• Perform monthly inventories of equipment, parts, and computer programs
• Coordinate cleaning in Engineering laboratory areas
• Control access to all Engineering laboratories
• Support faculty with materials and physical facilities
• Ensure users comply with established laboratory regulations
• Support Academic Dean activities during academic recesses
• Work day and night shifts as required by operational needs

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
• Experience in maintenance, operation, diagnosis, and repair of Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, and Computer systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical, and mechanical schematics
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and energy efficiency regulations
• Proficiency with specialized tools, simulation software, and industrial automation
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Availability for different shifts based on course schedules
