Engineering Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute assembly and fabrication of sophisticated hardware prototypes at the PCB level
• Troubleshoot and remediate complex technical malfunctions within hardware prototype iterations
• Iterate on and refine pre-production units to optimize system performance
• Utilize additive manufacturing technologies to realize mechanical concepts
• Manage deployment of firmware updates and software release cycles
• Serve as a communication conduit to R&D departments for mechanical, hardware, and software enhancements
• Develop and curate technical SOPs and diagnostic documentation
• Engage in direct bring-up and QA assessment of novel engineering systems

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of technical engineering assistance with hardware prototyping exposure
• Minimum 3 years of technical manufacturing support with assembly methodology exposure
• Proficiency in advanced soldering and wire termination techniques
• Experience using laboratory instrumentation including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
• Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Competency in Linux and Python for technical automation and data analysis
• Ability to obtain and maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification
