Engineering Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and testing instruments according to established procedures
• Conduct routine tests and measurements on materials, components, and systems, recording all data accurately
• Perform equipment troubleshooting and implement corrective actions or escalate technical issues
• Prepare test samples and set up laboratory experiments following detailed protocols and safety guidelines
• Document all test results, observations, and equipment maintenance activities
• Ensure the workspace remains organized, clean, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver results that support project objectives
• Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment to minimize downtime
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment

Requirements

• 4+ years of strong HVAC experience
• Certification or Degree in an HVAC-related field
• Proficiency in operating testing equipment and instrumentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
• Experience with data collection, recording, and basic data analysis
• Proficiency with computer systems
• Basic understanding of electrical and/or mechanical principles
• Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures precisely

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a laboratory technician or in a similar technical support role
• Familiarity with engineering principles and testing methodologies
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control standards
• Experience with technical reporting
