About the role
About the Company
Stoke is building Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle designed for daily flight. The mission is to reduce launch costs and increase availability to create a scalable space industry.
Responsibilities
- Work on real, open-ended engineering problems
- Contribute to high-impact projects within mechanical, test, avionics, or manufacturing teams
- Collaborate closely with mentors and full-time employees
- Manage complex technical projects through execution
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science)
- Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on engineering experience through internships, projects, or teams
- Ability to work full-time, onsite for 10-12 consecutive weeks starting January 2027
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical: CAD proficiency and experience with thermodynamic or fluid design
- Manufacturing: Machine shop or hands-on building experience
- Avionics: Experience designing, testing, or integrating PCBs and harnessing
- Test Operations: Experience with pressure testing or cryogenic handling
- Mission Management: Mechanical background with interest in business operations
