Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing engineers with process improvement projects and production support activities
• Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction
• Help develop and update work instructions, process documentation, and visual management tools
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to quality or production issues
• Conduct time studies and process observations to improve workflow and labor efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain
• Assist with the implementation of safety and ergonomic improvements

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD software, lean manufacturing principles, or statistical analysis tools
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with data analysis tools or ERP systems
