Engineering Intern (HPS)

Responsibilities

• Assist in bench validation and characterization of power semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, and diodes
• Set up and operate laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and thermal measurement tools
• Support electrical and thermal testing, including static and dynamic device measurements and switching performance evaluation
• Collect, organize, and analyze test data to assist in generating technical reports and documentation
• Maintain lab organization, test fixtures, and validation hardware while following safety and ESD guidelines
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot test issues and improve bench setups

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and semiconductor devices
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies
• Ability to work methodically, document results clearly, and follow established test procedures
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a hands-on lab environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or experience in power electronics or power semiconductor devices (SiC, GaN, etc.)
• Experience with bench testing, hardware debugging, or lab-based projects
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, MATLAB, or Python
• Understanding of basic electrical safety and ESD practices
