Engineering Instructor

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction that aligns with course objectives and institutional standards
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to support student learning
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies, including technology-enhanced learning and online learning management systems
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote academic growth
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
• Serve as an academic resource for students, offering guidance on coursework and study strategies

Requirements

• Must reside in the state of Ohio
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in manufacturing, electromechanical, electronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a closely related field
• Strong communication skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with students and colleagues
• Proficiency with various instructional methods, including email and online learning management systems
• Commitment to student success, engagement, and empowerment
• Successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an engineering-related field or education
• Previous teaching, curriculum development, and assessment experience
• For Advanced Manufacturing Technology: working knowledge of manual and CNC machinery, precision assembly, and multi-craft maintenance
• Prior professional experience in a manufacturing environment
