Engineering Group Lead

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering leadership in guiding the Mechanical Engineering team to ensure successful completion of designs
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings and provide performance feedback to assigned engineers
• Assist with resource planning, recruiting, hiring, training, and staff evaluation
• Assign daily tasks while maintaining adherence to budget and schedule
• Coach, train, and mentor engineers to ensure efficiency
• Ensure design data release timelines meet aircraft delivery schedules
• Develop tools and lead technical initiatives to improve departmental quality and delivery
• Identify, document, and report risks and challenges to leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of project management and budgeting
• Knowledge of Aerospace Standards and Specifications (Structures, Interiors, Mechanical, and Payload Systems)
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and manufacturing technique design
• Proficiency in industry-accepted CAD systems and Microsoft applications
• Must qualify as a US Person for ITAR compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• Lead Engineer experience
• Aircraft completions experience
