Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites, test ranges, and demonstration events to provide hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of USVs and related subsystems
  • Perform mechanical and electrical system maintenance, component replacement, and corrective actions
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, communications, and system-level issues in the field
  • Install new subsystems, hardware modifications, and software updates on deployed vehicles
  • Support sea trials, system tests, demonstrations, and operational evaluations
  • Document test results, field findings, failures, and corrective actions
  • Prepare equipment, spare parts, tools, and service kits for deployment
  • Maintain accurate service records, inventory, maintenance logs, and field activity reports

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support involving complex electromechanical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and communication systems
  • Hands-on skills in mechanical assembly, wiring, and system integration
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and serial communications analyzers
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and PCB schematics
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel 50–75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with maritime, aerospace, defense, robotics, or autonomous systems
  • Knowledge of propulsion systems, electric/internal combustion engines, and battery systems
  • Prior experience supporting DoD customers or operating in military environments
  • Familiarity with CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira
