Engineering Director, Mobile (iOS/Android)

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a mobile engineering team, driving ownership and accountability across project milestones
• Provide hands-on technical guidance on mobile development, architecture, and engineering best practices
• Champion the adoption of AI tools and workflows across the team to increase quality and delivery velocity
• Own end-to-end delivery of mobile features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to execute effectively
• Serve as the technical expert for complex mobile challenges to maintain application robustness and scalability

Requirements

• 8+ years of mobile engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience in a team lead or management role
• Solid technical expertise in iOS or Android development
• Proven experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping AI-powered mobile features such as personalization or on-device inference
• Background in fintech, crypto, or high-scale consumer applications
• Familiarity with mobile performance optimization at scale
