Engineering Director, Mobile (iOS/Android)

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a mobile engineering team, driving ownership and accountability across project milestones.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance on mobile development, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Champion the adoption of AI tools and workflows across the team to increase quality and delivery velocity.
• Own end-to-end delivery of mobile features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to execute effectively.
• Serve as the technical expert for complex mobile challenges to maintain application robustness and scalability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of mobile engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a team lead or management role.
• Solid technical expertise in iOS or Android development and the broader mobile ecosystem.
• Proven proficiency in using AI tools within an engineering workflow.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping AI-powered features such as personalization or on-device inference.
• Background in fintech, crypto, or high-scale consumer applications.
• Familiarity with mobile performance optimization at scale.
