Engineering Director

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering managers, technical leads, and development teams across multiple projects
• Oversee architectural decisions, technical standards, and software quality practices
• Collaborate with product, design, and other departments to ensure alignment and delivery of features
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team performance
• Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships
• Champion best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies
• Drive recruitment, retention, and professional development of top engineering talent
• Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of systems and platforms
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in engineering
• At least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering teams and complex projects
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, architecture, and agile methodologies
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical involvement
