Engineering Director

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical governance and compliance with HSE standards, business rules, and certification requirements
• Manage program performance by ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and engineering deliverable quality
• Lead digital transformation initiatives and the integration of Industry 4.0 engineering tools
• Support R&D and bidding activities for the Canadian subsidiary, including impact analysis for design changes
• Develop engineering talent through strategic recruitment, subcontracting management, and training programs
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Methods, and Supply Chain departments to ensure product airworthiness
• Provide technical visibility to senior management regarding progress, risks, and opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
• Active membership in the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• 15 years of experience in the aeronautics sector in similar leadership functions
• Proficiency in CAD and PLM tools such as Catia V5/V6, 3DExperience, or Enovia
• Deep knowledge of airworthiness requirements (TCCA, FAA, EASA) and configuration management
• Strong understanding of aeronautical design processes, stress analysis, and structural certification
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (verbal and written)
• Proven leadership skills with high emotional intelligence and experience in matrix environments
