Engineering Compliance Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections in accordance with SGS CRS US certification program requirements
• Inspect certified products and components against prepared reports
• Evaluate customer quality management systems against certification program requirements
• Generate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) as needed
• Document all observations and variances to obtain evidence of compliance
• Identify, prepare, and label samples for laboratory shipment
• Deliver well-written inspection reports within defined time frames
• Execute inspections within assigned time frames and cost estimates

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Inspection Levels, AQLs, and sampling plans (ANSI/ASQ Z14/ISO 2859-1)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485)
• Demonstrated understanding of basic electronics and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in using basic test equipment used in manufacturing
• Technical degree or equivalent training in quality control or electronics manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays
• Possession of a passport for international travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with OSHA NRRL, ISO 17020, CIG023, INMETRO, or ATEX inspections
• Fluency in Spanish or French
