Engineering Co-Op Intern

Responsibilities

• Create engineering change orders and CAD models from legacy data
• Assist in airframe designs, analysis, major repairs, and modifications
• Develop and document repair procedures and associated stress reports for damaged aircraft
• Update existing drawings and create new technical drawings
• Perform preliminary stress analysis to support initial layout and design concepts
• Coordinate mechanical and structural installation information into the configuration management system
• Act as a liaison to manufacturing and production efforts as needed

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Must be local to the Columbus, MS or Starkville, MS area
• Proficiency in 2D software such as AutoCAD or similar
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar
• Basic knowledge of 2D or 3D mechanical or structural design requirements
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across company functions
• Authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in 2D or 3D design of detail parts, assemblies, and/or installations
