Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas has grown to be Australia’s largest regional, domestic, and international airline. The Qantas Group’s main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands — Qantas and Jetstar.
Responsibilities
Depending on the chosen trade, responsibilities include:
- Avionics Apprentice: Maintain, inspect, and undertake fault diagnostics of electrical, instrument, and radio systems, including power generation, autopilot, and communication systems.
- Mechanical Apprentice: Maintain, inspect, and undertake fault diagnosis of airframe, engine systems, and mechanical components such as undercarriage, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
- Structures Apprentice: Maintain, inspect, and undertake modification and repair to aircraft metallic and composite structures (Fiberglass, Carbon fiber, Kevlar).
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Good manual dexterity with hand tools
- Proactive attitude toward safe work practices
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
- Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
- Ability to work all shift patterns
- Availability to start from early 2027
