Engineering and Maintenance Planner

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive work scopes for mechanical inspections and maintenance work orders, including detailed job steps and required resources.
• Prepare detailed maintenance work packs within the Guardian EAM/CMMS to support efficient scheduling and technician allocation.
• Analyse mechanical systems to accurately estimate labour, materials, equipment, and task durations.
• Create and maintain equipment histories, inspection records, and standard work documentation within the CMMS.
• Identify, coordinate, and manage third-party contractors and specialist service providers.
• Lead the weekly maintenance schedule to maximize plant reliability and operational performance.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.

Requirements

• ONC or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience working within a 24/7 industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, coordinating manpower, and managing resources during routine operations and planned outages.
• Proficiency in managing CMMS/EAM systems and developing maintenance work packs.
• Strong experience in contractor management and workload coordination.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• HND in Engineering.
• Experience working at a lower-tier COMAH site.
