About the role
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the safety and reliability of electrical and electronic control systems used in consumer, commercial, and industrial products.
- Perform engineering evaluations on hardware, software, and embedded control systems against applicable safety standards.
- Review electrical schematics, circuit designs, software documentation, and control system architectures.
- Coordinate laboratory testing by preparing test plans, data sheets, and instructions for laboratory personnel.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed engineering reports documenting compliance findings.
- Investigate hardware, software, and system-level issues identified during product evaluations.
- Support project planning activities including scope definition, scheduling, and sample requirements.
- Communicate technical requirements and evaluation results to customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- University Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or coursework involving electronic circuit design and analysis.
- Knowledge of embedded systems or microcontroller-based products.
- Experience with control systems or industrial automation.
- Background in firmware or software development.
- Proficiency with electrical testing and laboratory equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
