Engineer-To-Order (ETO) Lead Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design execution for Applied ETO comfort cooling and data center projects from concept through production release
• Own the technical integrity and consistency of CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and configurations
• Coordinate and drive Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including scope definition and release sequencing
• Provide technical direction to onsite and offshore designers, including work assignment and quality assurance
• Resolve complex design and integration issues in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using CAD software
• Lead design reviews and cross-functional technical discussions to ensure compliance with engineering standards

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience
• 3+ years of working knowledge of PLM workflows and release processes
• 3+ years of experience in CAD or 3D modeling
• 2+ years of experience leading design work

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Proficiency with CREO for 3D modeling and Windchill
• Experience coordinating and reviewing work from offshore design resources
• Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods
• Experience in the HVAC industry or industrial machine design
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
