Engineer - T&D

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and coordinate complex construction projects and maintenance for the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) system
• Perform system analyses, designs, and calculations using standard methodologies
• Solve moderately complex system operating problems, including outages, system disturbances, and power quality issues
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings such as schematics and one-line diagrams
• Approve planned outages and clearance requests while coordinating with outside system operators
• Represent the Operate Electric System (OES) on assigned project teams and task forces
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues, operators, and dispatchers
• Develop business cases and manage small projects or initiatives in accordance with company guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• 2-5+ years of professional engineering experience
• In-depth knowledge of distribution design and operations
• Strong understanding of NESC and industry codes
• Ability to perform complex system analyses and calculations
• Proficiency in interpreting and documenting engineering documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
