Engineer - Structures

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed structural design and complex calculations in accordance with standard codes and client requirements
• Perform technical calculations and structural analysis using industry-standard software
• Assist in compiling design specifications and ensuring compliance with project briefs and manufacturer literature
• Follow document control and QA processes to ensure drawings, reports, and correspondence are correctly filed and archived
• Prepare elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by senior team members
• Collaborate with the WSP India ME Team to resolve day-to-day technical queries and ensure information availability for construction
• Support the development of trainees by contributing to technical discussions and explaining design processes
• Determine appropriate software for Computer Aided Design and construct accurate models

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 4+ years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Proficiency in structural software such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, or STAAD
• Membership to an accredited engineering body
• Strong technical communication skills and fluency in English
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in the design of building structures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical projects
