Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects including design, implementation, testing, and lifecycle validation of complex systems
• Maintain regulatory compliance with DOE orders, federal regulations, and safety envelopes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary groups of scientists, procurement teams, and external federal stakeholders
• Perform advanced modeling using engineering software to create technical specifications and architectures
• Conduct analysis and troubleshooting to investigate technical issues and failure mechanisms
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical oversight
• Support project controls including work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of direct engineering experience in a highly regulated environment
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
• Active DOE Q security clearance or active DoD Top Secret clearance eligible for reciprocity
• Proven experience with modern data systems, specialized CAD/modeling tools, or nuclear safety documentation
• Strong communication skills for presenting classified data
