Engineer, Senior Staff/Manager

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and implement solutions optimized for Qualcomm's SOCs
• Lead high-performing teams toward system design and technical deliverables
• Improve and optimize key Deep Learning models on Qualcomm AI 100
• Build deep learning framework extensions in upstream open-source repositories
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize training and inference for deep learning
• Work on vLLM, Triton, ExecuTorch, Inductor, and TorchDynamo to build abstraction layers
• Optimize workloads for both scale-up (multi-SoC) and scale-out (multi-card) systems
• Apply software engineering best practices to the entire deep learning pipeline

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 12+ years of Software Engineering experience
• 12+ years of experience with C++ and Python
• Proven track record of leading teams in Machine Learning software engineering
• Strong foundation in mathematical modeling, linear algebra, and ML/AI algorithms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Deep Learning domains such as LLMs, NLP, Vision, or Audio
• Knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow software stacks
• Experience with C++ 14 advanced features
• Experience with ML compilers or Auto-code generation (e.g., MLIR)
• Hands-on experience with CUDA or CUDNN
• Experience profiling software and implementing optimization techniques
