About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced systems-level packaging solutions, including heterogeneous packaging, multi-chip modules, and sensor packages.
- Lead assembly process developments for Digital Healthcare, Medical Devices, Industrial, Robotics, and Physical AI applications.
- Manage manufacturing engineering activities, including process characterization, yield improvements, and root cause analysis (CAPA).
- Drive PFMEA, DOE, SPC, GR&R, and statistical analysis to improve process capability and assembly robustness.
- Collaborate with OSATs, substrate vendors, and assembly partners to define package architecture and DFM/DFX requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to global engineering, operations, and executive teams.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Material Science, Semiconductor Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent).
- 2 to 5 years of industrial experience in advanced semiconductor packaging, electronics assembly, or systems integration.
- Strong understanding of heterogeneous integration and materials such as substrates, adhesives, underfills, and interconnect materials.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks or equivalent) for design reviews and modifications.
- Experience with process development methodologies including DOE, PFMEA, SPC, 8D, and RCA.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of materials science and mechanical behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to working in regulated manufacturing environments for Medical, Industrial, or Robotics devices.
- Experience working directly with OSATs, substrates, and EMS partners within the semiconductor ecosystem.
