About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish maintenance and reliability strategies to ensure equipment and process uptime.
  • Manage key performance metrics including MTTR, MTBF, OBE, and OEE.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for maintenance technicians, operations, and engineering to resolve production issues.
  • Lead initiatives for equipment uptime, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of changes.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and component/system analyses to reduce risks.
  • Review and update job plans and work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Utilize RCA and FMEA processes to investigate and reduce equipment-related deviations and downtime.
  • Promote proper use of CMMS systems and ALCOA+ principles for documenting equipment history.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 6 years of experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of FDA Regulations and cGMP.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software packages.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
  • Experience with IBM-Maximo or other CMMS software.
  • Knowledge of automation systems, vision systems (Cognex, Keyence), or predictive maintenance techniques (Vibration Analysis, Thermography).
  • Experience with aseptic processing, water of injection (WFI), or clean steam generation.
