Engineer Project Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of engineering projects within the Cooking Appliances category, including ovens, cooktops, and microwaves.
• Define project scope, develop investigation plans, and determine specifications such as cost, timelines, and sample requirements.
• Develop and assess test programs based on UL standards to ensure compliance with electrical, thermal, and mechanical safety requirements.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, explaining UL requirements, certification processes, and testing methodologies.
• Coordinate laboratory activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and providing guidance to technicians.
• Examine product samples for compliance and communicate non-compliances or design changes to clients.
• Prepare accurate technical reports and communicate project status and results to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of UL standards, specialized test methods, and new test equipment.

Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program.
• Two years of directly related professional experience.
• Detailed knowledge of technical vocabulary common to the appropriate engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory testing apparatus and techniques common to the appropriate discipline.
