Engineer Project Associate

Responsibilities

• Determine project scope, investigation plans, and specifications including cost, time, and sample requirements.
• Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing manufacturer information and applying UL requirements.
• Examine samples for compliance and notify clients of any non-compliance or changes in project scope.
• Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets, scheduling technicians, and reviewing work.
• Communicate project status, technical issues, and results to clients through frequent contact and reports.
• Resolve engineering issues associated with Variation Notices by analyzing and reporting on acceptability.
• Assist in the development of UL requirements, special test methods, and test equipment.

Requirements

• University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics.
• Two years of directly related professional experience.
• Detailed knowledge of technical vocabulary common to the appropriate engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory testing apparatus and techniques.
